Why You Hating

Pull up a cloud it's nice to have you back.
Ladies gentlemen & monsters, last week we hit a milestone! we had 1 comment (holds for applause.)
Some people will laugh in scorn at that achievement, but forget a basic principle which is that one is always the basis for more. Unless of course you are counting down which in that case would mean 1 meant the closeness to your demise and the impending doom of nothingness.

OK now the celebrations are out of the way, you may be wondering what I have been actively pondering out this week.
Well I'll tell you. It's the word "hating" or the label "hater." The word hating means to feel hatred.

n. 1. Intense animosity or dislike; hatred.
2. An object of detestation or hatred

So you can imagine how perplexed I am when both terrible musical artists & members of our society who actively do nothing claim that the world is hating on them . The truth is many people don't hate them. It's that they are indifferent to them meaning that could not care about your musical pilgrimage, your new lace front wig or booty shorts.
Hate for the most part provokes many people to action, the hatred of race brings up little groups like the BNP & the KKK, the hate of terrorism has our young male and female soldier fighting a war which I personally think is not truly legitimate though that is another bedtime story all in all. So if someone is not buying your mix tape or downloading it...Two things are happening. Your not marketing correctly or you are not actually as good as you think you are.
In terms of the talentless people with nothing to really offer society, we may hate you. However no one is hating on your over priced swagger. It's more pertinent that we despise who you are. As a result of actively seeking attention, when there is nothing about you that is commendable or awesome. Rather than hating you because of your good looks or how much money you have.
This is not to say people don't get "hated" on because the human race is a despicably jealous race, but many times there is nothing wrong with the person being hated provided they are gifted or talented....a comment entrenched in "hating" usually ends in "I could do that" or "that should be me." This is simply because the person believes that the person getting recognition is doing something they have not been able to yet. If they had similar money and social standing watch how quickly the hate melts away.

I guess everyone has a bit of hater in them, God knows I do. I sometimes feel  like I should be where some artists are now with that sort of money. The only difference is I don't call these people names, or overtly make my sentiments known in a grotesque fashion. Instead I study harder I write harder I record with passion and use this feeling to ignite my best lines...What about you?

Rapacious, Parsimonious, Greed

I'm not going to assume that my scribbling have captured the masses but if you are reading this than errm thank you I guess for you I shall continue.
As it stands here is a basic definition of greed

1. eating of too much: the habit of eating to excess or the desire to do so
2. strong desire for more: an overwhelming desire to have more of something
such as money than is actually needed

Of course you can make this sound much more linguistically desirable with the usage of various synonyms but it ultimately boils down to the same thing. The desire or want of too much.
As I have aged, there has been one thing that has become increasingly apparent to me, and that is money does buy happiness. It buys a quality of life far superior to those who do not have. While it is commendable that we can look inside ourselves and find who we truly are. With no money comes a vulnerability and a rotten stench of dependency. Think about it. Money is the only reason we stay in a job we hate, earning money that clearly isn’t enough, putting up with the diabolically condescending and truculent manager(s). It's because we NEED money to function properly as adults. If you didn't need that money, you would slap that manager 3 times in the face with a loaded stapler! Before telling them exactly what you thought of them.
If you have kids your self acceptance is not going to feed them. Soul food & food for thought doesn’t exactly work like that.
So then how greedy is too greedy?
I want a great life for myself, my family and friends. It's possibly why I cling so closely to music, because it offers that chance to be comfortable. To live in grandeur and luxury, to do things I just would not be able to do otherwise, does that make me greedy? I want more than 1 car, more than one home in different exotic/metropolitan countries so I can escape once in a while without having to pay extortionate hotel prices. I call it a motivation to be successful and the want to have a quality of life I think all men should strive towards. What's the difference between motivation and greed? I always want the best. Always striving for a target that is in some sense is unattainable. I am completely enamoured by language. Is it greedy of me to compile a word bank of words which is almost in the 10,000's, of words I have assimilated into everyday language concluding in an ever expansive vocabulary? What's the difference between acquiring words to improve your social standing/appearance and acquiring money for the same effect? I'm not trying to give you an answer/justification. I’m just rambling superfluously about a given topic. As for my personal views on greed; I think there is thin line between wanting pre-eminent success and being greedy. I think greed is undoubtly behind most of the terrible nefarious things mankind do, but it's because we are ignorant to the nature of greed.
Greed shouldn‘t be used as a basis for war or violence or anything that causes affliction to any being (even though it is.) Remember greed is what got us 720 HD when we had 420, it's the reason the internet speeds just keep soaring. Like every entity greed needs to be understood.
Without a doubt though we will fail being complacent in life. You have to be a little bit greedy to get where you want to go and if you have to be even greedier to say there. (that’s just my view though)
